EUROPE’S GRAND OPERAS COMING TO
SOUTHSIDE WORKS CINEMA
The Southside Works Cinema proudly presents
five HD operas on the big screen.
Emerging Pictures has selected the Southside Works Cinema as the exclusive Western Pennsylvania partner for its digital cinema presentations of five of the world’s best operas from the Salzburg Festival, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, and Teatro La Fenice.
The series will begin with two performances recorded in the spring of 2008 at two of Italy’s most prestigious opera houses. The beautiful Teatro La Fenice production of Il Barberiere di Siviglia kicks off the series followed by the equally stunning Norma from Teatro Comunale di Bologna.
The remaining operas in the series are from the world-renowned Salzburg Festival recorded in August of 2008. The Salzburg Festival is a true destination for music and theatre lovers.
